Pre Sales - Functie omschrijving

IPsoft is a leading worldwide provider of managed IT solutions and services for infrastructure, business information and application development currently has an exceptional career opportunity for a Senior Sales Engineer Pre Sales) to join our team in our local office in Amsterdam. IPsoft provides a unique platform-independent monitoring solution with customer-centric business tools and employs the best and the brightest technicians in the industry.

• The Sales Engineer serves as a key member of IPsoft´s Sales team responsible for MSP positioning and the technical validation process which includes: out of the box demonstrations, custom demonstrations, proof of concept events, pilot events, and competitive benchmarks. Also responsible for managing RFI/RFP processes. 
• The successful candidate will possess 5 + years of strong, hands-on technical skills and understanding of the business drivers behind Utility Computing and IT automation deployments, while demonstrating a drive to succeed a high level of motivation and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with customer technologists, IPsoft Sales Representatives, Systems Management, Application Management, Database Management and Network Management. 
• Extensive technical sales presentation experience and knowledge and experience with Enterprise software products. 
• Candidate will be working directly with the customer and should be comfortable representing the company and gathering and understanding customer requirements and developing uses cases to demonstrate IPsoft's Managed Services initiatives. 
• Ideal candidates will have knowledge of system administration and software development processes with a strong understanding of cross platform administration in large scale, distributed systems environments. 
• Ability to team with Sales Representatives to develop and execute account and competitive strategies. 
• Ability to work with and transfer customer knowledge to Professional Services consulting engineers for installations in pre-and post sales environments.

Responsibilities:
·  Train customers in the use, administration, and customization of IPsoft
·  Position client's custom technology and applications for use with IPsoft
·  Work with customer, sales and consulting teams to build high level plans to deploy large scale, business critical applications using IPsoft
·  Help build unique value proposition based on customer's business requirements
·  Assist Solution Architects with gathering requirements for developing custom application extensions using the IPsoft APIs and custom programming where needed.

Pre Sales - Functie eisen

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of and some hands on experience in the following areas:

• System administration and platforms experience with: Solaris, Linux, AIX, HP-UX, and Windows. 
• Working knowledge of Network configuration and troubleshooting on large IP networks. DNS and DHCP administration experience a plus. 
• Experience with software packaging (e.g. RPM, MSI, etc.) and software distribution. 
• Application technologies including IBM WebSphere, BEA WebLogic, JBOSS, .NET framework, etc. 
• Common internet protocols including HTTP, SSL, and SOAP/XML-RPC/Web Services 
• Some software development experience helpful. Experience with Python or Java a plus. 
• Ability to work with sales and customer teams with outstanding verbal and written communication skills. 
• Demonstrated contribution to successful quota attainment with star sales performers. 
• Strong work ethic, competitive, driven to succeed, and money motivated. 
• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or equivalent 
• Moderate to Heavy travel will be required.
